The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with company values and community goals.

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, local governments, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and high-quality delivery.

  • Develop detailed project schedules, financial forecasts, and cost controls to monitor and manage budget adherence.

  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle to avoid delays or cost overruns.

  • Facilitate communication between all project participants, including investors, property managers, leasing agents, and marketing teams.

  • Review and negotiate contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms.

  • Conduct site visits and inspections regularly to monitor progress and quality.

  • Ensure all projects meet or exceed safety, environmental, and zoning regulations.

  • Prepare and present regular status reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Support the company’s mission by promoting sustainable development practices and community-focused design principles.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience managing real estate development projects, preferably in mixed-use or master-planned communities.

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.

  • Strong knowledge of local zoning laws, building codes, and permitting processes in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).

  • Financial acumen with experience managing project budgets and forecasts.

  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple job sites as required.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses.

  • Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance.

  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching.

  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.

  • Supportive work environment with a focus on work-life balance.

  • Chance to work on high-profile, impactful development projects that shape Kansas City’s future.
