Job Title: Project Manager - Power Electronics Validation


Location: Newark, C


Role Overview:


We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead the validation and testing efforts of power electronics systems in our next-generation electric vehicles. This role involves cross-functional coordination, rigorous planning, and hands-on oversight of DVP&R processes, ensuring all test activities align with program schedules, quality expectations, and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage cross-functional teams to develop and maintain Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) for power electronics systems (inverters, chargers, DC-DC converters, etc.).
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation including technical reports, test plans, validation results, and risk assessments.
• Track and manage program timelines across multiple projects, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to maintain cost and schedule targets.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee outsourced testing activities, ensuring alignment with internal milestones and standards.
• Collaborate closely with the Prototype Builds, Global Supply Management, and supplier/vendor teams to source critical components and manage external manufacturing services.
• Work in conjunction with internal Lucid test labs to drive testing and validation progress.
• Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure alignment with program milestones and delivery timelines.
• Support verification and validation testing for power electronics systems, ensuring compliance with relevant automotive and safety standards.
• Partner with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) teams to uphold and enhance lab safety practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (required).
• PMP Certification (required).
• 3-5 years of project management experience in the automotive industry, specifically focused on power electronics systems.
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with DV/PV standards and testing procedures.
• Proficient in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or 3DX.
• Familiarity with lab testing equipment, including battery simulators, AC/DC power supplies, and electronic loads.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills; ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.

• Strong cross-functional leadership abilities with a track record of delivering validation programs on schedule.
• Prior experience working in electric vehicle or powertrain validation teams.
