Key Responsibilities Volunteer Program: Recruit, onboard, and support volunteers; plan and lead days of service, track hours, maintain policies and manuals, increase volunteer retention and engagement, recognize contributions and ensure a safe, welcoming environment. Community Engagement: Maintain engagement database; create outreach materials; represent OHNC at events and speaking opportunities; cultivate partnerships and donor‑based opportunities. Organize community fundraisers with a goal of raising at least $100,000 annually in partnership with the Development team. Co‑lead the development of monthly newsletters. Secure funding from civic organizations and local community groups. Support with special events, as needed. Other duties as assigned, based on team needs. This position is a mandated reporter of elder and child abuse. Qualifications Preferred: Bachelor of Arts or equivalent experience in communications, business, marketing, fundraising, public relations, social services, or related field. Nonprofit, volunteer engagement, and fundraising experience strongly preferred; supervisory experience a plus. Strong organizational, communication, and relationship‑building skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, Constant Contact, Donor Snap (or similar CRM). Experience with social media posting and engagement. Ability to lift 40 lb; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Must pass background check and drug screening. Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation to get to and from external events through San Diego County.
