This BCG Attorney Search opportunity is with a highly regarded regional firm known for its excellence in environmental and regulatory litigation. With offices throughout the Northeast, the firm combines New York-quality legal challenges with a supportive, growth-focused environment. The team is expanding due to increasing demand in environmental defense and compliance litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle all phases of litigation involving environmental laws and regulations

• Draft complex pleadings, briefs, and motions related to CERCLA, RCRA, NEPA, and similar statutes

• Represent clients in administrative hearings and agency enforcement actions

• Lead citizen suit litigation and defense of regulatory actions

• Provide environmental risk and compliance counsel in transactional matters

• Supervise junior associates and support staff on litigation workflows

• Monitor evolving legal trends and advise clients on legislative and regulatory shifts

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of environmental litigation experience at a firm or regulatory agency

• Licensed and in good standing with the New York Bar

• Expertise in federal and New York environmental statutes and policy

• Strong writing, advocacy, and case strategy skills

• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring or managing legal staff

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-responsive practice

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

• Background in environmental science, policy, or related field preferred

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York Bar

• Environmental law certifications or CLE credentials a plus

Skills:

• Mastery of environmental statutes including NEPA, CERCLA, RCRA, CAA, CWA

• High-level negotiation and regulatory advocacy abilities

• Proficient with litigation support and case management software

• Strong business insight and client relationship acumen

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
