QUALITY ENGINEER

As a Quality Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of products and processes from conception through production. Your role will involve applying engineering principles and statistical methods to design, develop, and maintain quality standards. You will conduct thorough inspections, tests, and analyses of materials, products, and processes to identify defects and areas for improvement. A key responsibility will be to perform root cause analysis for quality issues, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). You will also develop and implement quality control plans, inspection procedures, and testing protocols. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, will be crucial to integrate quality requirements into design and manufacturing processes. Furthermore, you will be involved in auditing suppliers and internal processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans, inspection procedures, and testing protocols for raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods.
  • Conduct inspections, tests, and analyses to ensure products and processes meet specified quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Perform root cause analysis for quality deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools to monitor process performance and identify trends for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and production teams to integrate quality into product design, process development, and manufacturing.
  • Participate in design reviews, process validations, and qualification activities to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Conduct internal and external audits to assess compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS), industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the training of production personnel on quality procedures and best practices.
  • Analyze quality data, prepare reports, and present findings to management to support data-driven decision making.
  • Manage and maintain quality documentation, including specifications, test results, and audit reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical) or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, MSA, 8D).
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
