Job Description

Blue Roof Property Management is seeking a Property Inspector. This person will be responsible for inspecting properties, completing simple repairs on the spot that are within their ability and referring time consuming or difficult repairs to a professional. You will be our eyes and ears in the field ensuring our properties are being properly maintained. An eye for spotting deferred maintenance will be a key component to your day.Property InspectorCompensation: $17.00 - $18.00 an hour DOESummaryBlue Roof Property Management is seeking a Property Inspector. This person will be responsible for inspecting properties, completing simple repairs on the spot that are within their ability and referring time consuming or difficult repairs to a professional. You will be our eyes and ears in the field ensuring our properties are being properly maintained. An eye for spotting deferred maintenance will be a key component to your day.DutiesInterior Property Inspections - ensure tenants are caring for the property while identifying and documenting maintenance concerns.Exterior Property Inspections - Identifying and documenting areas of concern outside as well (Roof, Siding, Walls, Fences, Gutters, Landscaping, etc.)Perform simple repairs and maintenance such as changing light bulbs, picking up around the property, minor yard work, changing locks, paint etc. Actively assist in coordinating resident turnovers and completion of maintenance requestsInstall and remove lockboxes as neededRare participation in after-hours on-call service as may be neededOccasionally post legal notices as neededOther similar duties as assignedQualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative, but not exclusive of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.Minimum one year work experience with a history of on-time performanceValid driver licenseReliable transportationGood driving recordValid Auto InsuranceAbility to work Monday - Friday and an occasional SaturdayFunctioning smart phone to download necessary work related AppsHave your own basic tools to perform simple maintenance and repairsAble to read, understand and follow written instructionsAbility to complete reports in detail and on-timeThe ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service to residents and the publicAbility to bend, pull, climb ladders, lift equipment and supplies regularly up to 50 pounds.Ability to treat customers/residents with positivity and respectBenefitsBlue Roof Property Management offers competitive wages, incentive bonuses, paid time off, paid holidays and company vehicle or gas allowance (Benefits vary by position and hours worked.)RequirementsApplicants offered positions will be required to complete a pre-employment screening process which includes criminal history, driving record and drug screen.Blue Roof Property Management is an equal opportunity employer.
