Margot Elena Companies & Collections is seeking an energetic and ambitious full-time Marketing Manager to lead and coordinate omnichannel marketing initiatives in support of our Shopify ecommerce sales platform. This role will involve working with both internal and external teams to drive growth and support marketing strategies for our luxury indie beauty brands. As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing effective marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, increase customer engagement and achieve sales targets. This is a key leadership role that closely collaborates with cross-functional (marketing, production, creative, and sales) teams and manages the efforts of the Marketing Coordinator, Web Merchandiser, and multiple outside agencies. You will be critical in the planning, execution, and tracking of all projects related to e-commerce, including but not limited to social media, advertising, and email marketing.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of marketing principles and best practices in the e-commerce ecosystem and possess knowledge of backend ecommerce / technological operations. You should be a self-starter with strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for creating processes, managing priorities, and achieving data-driven results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans and strategies to support the company's growth objectives in the personal-care industry (luxury indie beauty brands).
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPI) related to ecommerce revenue goals, mar-tech stack, and advertising budgets.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify consumer / technological trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for product positioning.
  • Identify technological gaps to drive e-commerce revenue goals and regularly communicate recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for omnichannel marketing initiatives, working closely with outside agencies, executive leadership, creative teams, and cross-functional internal departments while ensuring consistent brand messaging and identity.
  • Ensure accuracy in all marketing content, promotions, and website amendments.
  • Lead new & recurring initiatives, monitor project schedules, assess and mitigate project risks, and escalate issues, when necessary, while providing solutions to maintain deliverables.
  • Ideate and manage email marketing campaigns: Klaviyo deployment & flows (executed by external vendor), including theme/ context, copywriting, promotions
  • Provide direction and support to web merchandiser, marketing coordinator, and external web dev team to optimize website functionality and identify areas for improved SEO.
  • Work with the creative team and external agencies to outline new initiatives, ensure effective communication of each assignment, prioritize tasks, and organize deliverables, including identification of new creative assets to refresh campaigns.
  • Track feedback and analyze projects (post-execution) to communicate insights/ successes and identify pain points/ areas for improvement to internal teams and executive leadership.
  • Oversee and provide external consumer and Amazon ad agencies with creative assets to refresh quarterly initiatives

  • Understanding of marketing operations, strategy, execution practices, and creative workflow, with a focus on upholding brand identities.
  • Knowledge of marketing-related business practices, including advertising, market research, technology, and budgeting.
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with Shopify, Klaviyo, Amazon, Social Media Platforms, ReCharge or other recurring payment platform, and SEO.
  • Proficiency in marketing-related software programs.
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style when building consensus with key stakeholders, including internal team members, leadership, and external partners.
  • Highly collaborative, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to adapt to competing priorities and shifting deadlines.
  • Critical thinker with analytical and problem-solving skills equipped to handle shifting consumer landscape.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to plan and execute marketing projects, including oversight of B2C and B2B websites.
  • Experience overseeing website development and understanding of daily maintenance, including site modifications, security, increasing technology demands and ADA compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant field.
  • 6+ years of experience in marketing and business, with a focus on digital marketing in B2B and B2C e-commerce environments, delivering strategies aligned with marketing and business goals, working with technical and creative teams.
  • Experience working with project management tools such as Trello, Slack, JIRA.
  • Proficiency in Shopify, Klaviyo, Amazon, Social Media/ Advertising Platforms, Websites, and Mobile Apps.
  • Ability to interpret metrics and analytics, create reports, and respond accordingly, with demonstrated success in previous positions.
  • Understanding and application of best marketing practices.
  • Experience in the beauty industry, creative agency, Amazon, and subscription box services is a plus.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $75,000 - $82,000 (plus bonus opportunities for the achievement of revenue goals and budget controls) depending on relevant factors, including professional experience.
