Description This role sits within Finance IT and is aligned to the value stream Recon. The reconciliation squad uses Frontier for their mainframe‑based reconciliation tool and focuses on automating manual work. They have moved many processes to Workday and are now looking to further automate and improve data reliability. Job Summary Handle the design and construction of scalable data management systems, ensure all data systems meet company requirements, and research new uses for data acquisition. Work within an Agile Scrum squad focused on Financial Reconciliation. Business Analysis background is preferred. The candidate will learn industry practices such as data mining, algorithms, and how data can be used. Primary Responsibilities Design, construct, install, test and maintain data management systems. Build high‑performance algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes. Ensure all systems meet business/company requirements and industry practices. Integrate emerging data management and software engineering technologies into existing data structures. Develop processes for data mining, modeling, and production. Create custom software components and analytics applications. Research new uses for existing data. Employ various technological languages and tools to link systems together. Collaborate with data architects, IT team, data scientists and other stakeholders on project goals. Install/update disaster recovery procedures. Recommend continuous improvement strategies to enhance data reliability and quality. Qualifications Technical degree or related work experience. Experience with non‑relational and relational databases (SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB, etc.). Experience programming and/or architecting a backend language (Java, J2EE, etc.). Strong skills in ETL, DataStage, PowerShell, scripting, SQL. Additional Requirements Must be a U.S. resident (G.C. or W2). Entry Level. Job Type & Location Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH. Pay and Benefits Pay range: $40.00–$40.00/hr.
