Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting industrial electrical systems, ranging from 12v to 480v and three-phase systems. The position is based in Alliance, OH, and requires availability for 2nd and 3rd shifts, with overtime mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting, including circuits, motors, lighting, control boxes/panels, and machine controls.

• Conduct minor mechanical work on conveyors, gears, and bearings.

• Assist in repairing facility equipment such as conveyors, robotic arms, rollers, furnaces, and mobile equipment.

• Participate in special installations and projects.

• Interpret and understand drawings and schematics.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.

• Proficiency with 480v and three-phase systems.

• Experience in machine repair and troubleshooting.

• Ability to work with circuits, motors, panels, sensors, switches, and photo eyes.

• Competence in reading and interpreting schematics.

• High School diploma or GED is required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Journeyman Card holders will receive top rates without the need for a test.

• Trade School Certificate for Journeyman Course, Associate's Degree, or equivalent experience is preferred.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.

• Willingness to undergo minimal training towards obtaining a Journeyman's card.

Work Environment

This is a union environment within a heavy industrial and sometimes dirty setting. Expect hot conditions near furnaces and loud areas near tube drop-off zones. The role requires standing, walking, and the ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds. The plant operates in a loud environment, and employees are frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, and occasionally to wet or humid conditions, fumes, caustic chemicals, and extreme heat. Shifts include 2nd (11 PM-7 AM with a .28 cent differential), 1st (7 AM-3 PM), and 3rd (3 PM-11 PM with a .20 cent differential) shifts.

This is a Permanent position based out of Alliance, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56000.00 - $73000.00/yr.
