Job Details The Sales Manager will develop and implement domestic shelf-stable seafood sales, and will be responsible for managing and marketing the shelf-stable seafood division assets while implementing the Domestic Sales Program.
Qualifications:
- 3-6 years’ experience in retail CPG sales
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Marketing experience
- Highly motivated, detail oriented, sales focused self-starter
- Excellent customer service and negotiation skills as well as problem-solving ability
- Willing and available to work extended hours to meet the demands of seafood sales
- Strong math and accounting skills required
- Solid computer skills in a MS Windows operating environment
Job Duties:
- Build, oversee, and manage domestic shelf-stable seafood sales program
- Implement and achieve performance targets in sales revenues, customer expansion, and time-sensitive inventory movement.
- Develop sales metrics and monitoring results
- Build promotional strategies within pricing guidelines, and align with production operations to ensure maximum value of shelf-stable product categories.
- Manage the business relationship with third party production facilities and directs the facility to respond to changes in market trends while maximizing yields.
- Manages and bids on private label accounts for shelf-stable salmon and supports sales staff with pricing and direction
- Manages and promotes sales for aged inventory items to specific classes of trade for all shelf- stable products.
- Manage promotional activity and planning tools for each applicable customer for branded products and reviews spending against accruals
- Responsible for negotiating pricing, payment terms, and shipping schedules of all domestic custom shelf-stable salmon orders
Business Development:
- Develops new business, new markets, and expands customer base and executes domestic shelf- stable sales within the established domestic sales plan
- Motivates, monitors, and manages broker network to sell products nationwide
- Establish and monitor broker goals and performance requirements and provides motivation to achieve maximum sales potential
- Responsible for managing broker contracts, appointment letters, change notifications and training
- Reviews broker payments monthly for accounts payable
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
- Travel to domestic markets to make customer sales calls and manage brokers.
