Commercial Real Estate Associate - Affordable Housing Development



Location: Boston, Hartford, or Providence.

A highly respected Am Law 200 firm is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join its well-established Affordable Housing Development team, part of its broader Real Estate + Development practice. This role is available in Boston, Hartford, or Providence.



The Opportunity


This is an exciting opportunity to work with a nationally recognised real estate team supporting local and national developers on complex, high-impact affordable housing transactions. You will be involved in every stage of the development lifecycle, including acquisitions, financing, and deal structuring-helping to bring mission-driven housing projects to life.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 3-8 years of commercial real estate experience within a respected law firm
• Strong background in acquisitions, financing (public and private), and title/survey review
• Experience with loan documents and drafting acquisition agreements
• Knowledge of affordable housing tax credit transactions (LIHTC, etc.) is a strong advantage
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and project management skills
• Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Bar Admission Requirements

• Admission to the Bar in Massachusetts and/or Connecticut is required
• You must be admitted in the jurisdiction of your preferred office location (Boston, Hartford, or Providence)
