We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Atlanta, Georgia. This role requires an experienced individual who excels in financial management and has a strong understanding of accounting principles. You will play a key role in managing day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accuracy in transactions and records.

Responsibilities:

• Process daily financial transactions, including checks, credit card activity, and bank deposits.

• Utilize QuickBooks Online to maintain and update financial records.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel at an intermediate proficiency (VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, etc.)

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts with incoming payments to ensure accuracy.

• Perform bank reconciliations efficiently and resolve discrepancies.

• Prepare and execute check runs in compliance with organizational guidelines.

• Collaborate with team members to support financial reporting and analysis.

• Monitor and track financial data to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

• Assist in improving processes to enhance operational efficiency within bookkeeping tasks.

• Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a detail-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Expertise in performing bank reconciliations and managing financial records.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of complex formulas.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining efficiency.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to support team collaboration.
